I’m Thrilled to meet you here

Hi, it’s me, Simone,

a certified trauma-informed somatic coach with a non-medical license to practice psychotherapy.

Why Coaching?

You are the expert of your own life, and I do not want to impose anything on you. Instead, I want to accompany you on an equal footing, with my toolkit in hand and the right questions, to help you recognize what is already within you.

Why trauma-sensitive?

In somatic or inner child work, it can happen that traumatic experiences come to the surface. In order to create a safe environment, I need to be aware of this and be able to hold it. However, I do not delve into the trauma itself; rather, I work with what wants to be seen in the here and now.

Why somatic?

Scratching the surface is only effective in the short term. Behind dysfunctional behavior, defense mechanisms, or patterns, there is usually a suppressed emotion or old wound. And these are stored in the body. Discover what your body wants to tell you and how you can express, transform, or resolve emotions.

PUPLIC Service ANNOUNCEMENT

You are just right.

What if there was never anything wrong with you? What if your body is exactly as it should be, simply because it exists?

Anger, shame, helplessness, the feeling of not being enough – emotions that we stigmatized and heavier individuals know all too well. Being exposed to (weight) discrimination every day takes a toll on our entire (nervous) system and makes us sick. This highlights how important it is to have a non-judgmental space where one can express their feelings, and to have someone who sees and understands them.

I would like to create this safe space for you in individual or group sessions, to help you and your body feel safer in a (fat)phobic world.

I want to support you in strengthening the relationship with yourself and your body and be kind to yourself.

Nervous System Regulation

Chronic Stress

Come out of the constant fight/flight/freeze/fawn response by signaling to your body with small somatic exercises that you are safe.

Emotional Regulation

Get to know and to feel your emotions

What to do with these feelings if not suppress them? Put light and difficult feelings into a safe framework so that they are no longer overwhelming!

Parts Work

What parts within you are conflicting?

Discover your inner parts, what they want for you, and why they are blocking you.

Somatic Therpye

Trauma-sensitive work

I do not work ON the trauma, but WITH the trauma in the here and now. Trauma needs connection and safety, which I want to provide for you in my sessions. Get to know your body and its reactions, and learn what it wants to tell you.

Social Responsible

It’s political!

Feeling comfortable and confident in your body and with yourself is an important contribution against our patriarchal and capitalist world.
